Relationship with Cognos

| pVelocity and Cognos achieve synergy by enriching the insights and functionality of each other’s products and processes. For example, Cognos users can view pVelocity’s detailed information about manufacturing processes, drill deeper into P&L metrics and review historical deal envelopes and specific resource profitability. To help determine the relative viability of various profit improvement programs, pVelocity users can also view the additional market, financial and customer data available through the Cognos interface. The approval, execution and measurement of profit improvement plans can be also routed through Cognos, thus harnessing a familiar interface, additional features and existing data. The financial results of profit improvement plans can then be continually compared to pVelocity’s modeled scenarios, to help refine and update the relationship between planning, execution and results. |

| For most manufacturers, profit insight is available only at the macro (division/plant/region) level, and long after the close of the financial period.
