    1989 - Founded in South Africa Genware Computer Systems cc. started operating in 1989. We were based in Johannesburg, South Africa where we specialized in building solutions using the Cognos Application Development Language - Powerhouse. Later we moved into the field of Business Intelligence using the initial versions of the desktop reporting and analysis tools (Impromptu and Powerplay), to build enterprise Decision Support applications. 1998 - Relocated to New Jersey, USA In 1998 Genware Computer Systems Inc. was formed as a New Jersey corporation. Our Goal is to become a recognized leader in the world of Business Intelligence application development. We are a US Based Cognos Partner with services ranging from customized BI Project Development, to Specialized Consulting Services, to reselling the tools that comprise the Cognos Platform.
